Being powerful can mean different things for different people, which is why we’ve curated a variety of social experiences for both introverts and extroverts at the Super Conference.

Getting In Early on Tuesday Night? Pick up your badge from the registration desk (open from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) then join us our 25th Anniversary and Early Arrivals Reception from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in MTCC 204. We look forward to seeing you there.

Wednesday, January 30:

Career Meetup: Practice your interview skills! Formerly known as Speed Networking, new professionals and students are paired with seasoned professionals to networking during 5-minute “dates”. Limited spaces available; find out more here.

SPACE STILL AVAILABLE TTC Architectural Tour: Come see four of Toronto’s newest stations connecting downtown to Vaughan and York Region. Architecturally conceived with strong place-making public art integrations we will travel and tour the Vaughn Metro Centre, Blackcreek Pioneer Village, York University and Finch West TTC stations. We will also travel over land for a mid-stop stroll through York University and tour the innovative learning spaces of the new Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence.

SPACE STILL AVAILABLE School Library Tour: On Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. enjoy the architectural tour focusing on the re-imagination of Library Learning Commons environments of Durham District School Board and Toronto District School Board.

SPACE STILL AVAILABLE Public Library Tour: On Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. enjoy a tour of Toronto Public Library’s newly renovated North York Central Library and Markham Public Library’s Aaniin Community Center & Library. Stand-by-space will be first come, first served on the day of the tour.

Movie Night @ Super Conference: Relax from a busy first day with an onsite movie night in MTCC 201D at 7:00pm. Join us for a screen of Last Night featuring Sandra Oh. It’s about a group of very different individuals with different ideas of how to face the end come together as the world is expected to end in six hours at the turn of the century. All Conference Welcome Party (Drag out of the 90s): Kick off your Super Conference with a blast from the past. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary from where we started – in the 90’s! Come and join the party on Wednesday, January 30 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss it! Thank you to ProQuest for their ongoing support!

Thursday, January 31:

Yoga: Come and join our morning yoga class and prepare your body and mind for the day ahead on Thursday and Friday (MTCC 105 stage area) at 7:30 am – 8:15 am. Yoga mats will be provided. No registration required. Namaste.

Ukulele Jam: You travelled here with your ukulele right? If so, you’re in luck because it’s jam time! All experience levels welcome. Join us at 7:00 pm on Thursday in ICTC Niagara. BYO uke.

Games Night Social: Come and participate in a Dungeons and Dragons and board games. Chat with library folks who are also interested in games.
A fun, light-hearted night. Cash bar. Join us from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the ICTC Ontario.

Karaoke and Pub Night (Offsite): Cap off a full day of professional learning by belting out your favourite tunes alongside conference attendees! Or just come along and watch! Participation is not mandatory. Some drinks and snacks will be provided. Join us from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm at The Pint House.

Friday, February 1:
