Ticket Types
OLA MEMBER
OLA members are eligible for member pricing. Provincial library association affiliates (see Affiliate Organization Member) also qualify for member rates.
STUDENT MEMBERS, RETIRED MEMBERS, NO-INCOME MEMBERS
This category applies to OLA members who are students, retired, or have no income. Student members must be full-time students in a library graduate or diploma program, or in a teacher pre-service education program, or job seekers with no income. Only student members qualify for the student rate.
NON-MEMBER
It is more cost-effective to become a member of OLA and then register for the conference. This may be done by visiting at www.accessola.com/membership. If you do not wish to join OLA, you are welcome to register as a non-member using this category.
SC 2024 SPEAKER
Individuals approved as session speakers use this option, including speakers who are not OLA members. ALL speakers must register even if they are attending only on their speaking day. Badges are generated from the registration file, and refreshments for social functions are based on registration numbers.
If you do not have a badge onsite, you may be asked to leave the premises.
AFFILIATE ORGANIZATION MEMBER
This category applies to members of the The Partnership (APLA, ABQLA, Sask LA, BCLA, NWTLA, NSLA, LAA, NLLA, NLA, MLA, YLA) and OHLA, OALT/ABO, Special Libraries Committee, New York Library Association. Attendees with affiliate memberships qualify for member pricing.
FIRST NATION PUBLIC LIBRARIES
This category applies to Library staff in First Nation public libraries in Canada. The rate is free.
TICKETS FOR PUBLIC LIBRARY AWARDS RECEPTION
You may purchase tickets for the Public Library Awards Reception in combination with your conference registration, or separately.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
GROUP REGISTRATION (In Person Conference attendance)
Institutions wishing to register ten or more individuals from the same institution and pay either by credit card or by one institutional cheque can set up a group registration. Group registration allows for multiple ticket categories i.e. speaker, member, non-member, etc. One invoice will be generated. To set up a group registration, please contact superconference@accessola.com
INSTITUTIONAL SITE LICENSES (Virtual Conference stream)
Institutions wishing to register five or more individuals from the same institution and pay either by credit card or by one institutional cheque can set up an institutional site license. The site license reflects a flat rate, and is not based on ticket categories. One invoice will be generated. To set up a site license, please contact superconference@accessola.com
DECISION MAKERS AS A GUEST OF AN OLA MEMBER
Registered OLA Members are entitled to bring a Decision Maker Guest for one day at no charge. This includes mayors and reeves, school principals and superintendents and others who make decisions about college, university, school and public libraries. This guest will be subject to OLA approval. Please contact superconference@accessola.com for more information.
SESSION CONVENORS
Session convenors are reminded that regular registration is required.
CONFERENCE VOLUNTEERS
Conference volunteers will be given free conference registration and is limited to student and no income members. More information will be released in November.
Please note:
- Everyone attending the conference in any capacity must be registered and badged – this is a security requirement. If one of the following categories does not seem to fit your circumstance, please contact the Registration Support Centre (contact information at end of this document).
- Membership must be current at the time of registration. If your membership is expired you will need to renew it through your account. If your number and last name entry is not successful, check “My Account” on the OLA website, or contact the OLA Office at Call 1-877-340-1730
- OLA accepts VISA or Master Card payments. Cheques are only accepted for group registrations or site licenses.
