The goal of this session is to share how the library in a vocational high school has provided support for teachers to use Knowledge Building to empower learners across the curriculum through co-planning, co-teaching, and providing resources such as makerspaces. At the same time, the library has applied the principals to real-life projects for students, most notably the formation of a club that 3D prints, assembles, and donates prosthetic hands for people in need. We will share entry points as well as successes and struggles along the way. Participants will have time to reflect on what they are already doing in their practice, and where that fits with the principles of Knowledge Building.
