By joigning this interactive lecture, attendees will learn how a new way of imagining training programs for staff members has redefined customer services for the Laval’s public libraries. By creating a « One hour Self Training Program » instead of the more common in-person workshops and lectures -à la one size fits all-, branch managers and staff members found a renewed interest in learning and, mostly, sharing knowledge. To fully demonstrate the power of self directed learning, the lecture will be interactive and will let the attendees decide in real time the main topics of the lecture via e-voting system.
