If you overdose on CBC or CNN, you might think the era of the “strongman” leader has returned. Contemporary discourse around leadership appears to be taking one step forward, and two steps backwards. In this session, a retired archdeacon and a librarian will talk about what leadership means to them, how their styles have succeeded and failed at different times in their careers, and what they have learned from one another. If you are looking to crush the patriarchy, or just looking for a convention centre room in which to talk about stereotypes, making space for differences of opinion and belief, roads taken and not taken, empowering your people, and how to lose the popularity contest but win at life, join us.
