Libraries are quick to purchase, but often slow to program with new and emerging technologies. The Halton Hills Public Library purchased the HTC Vive Virtual Reality system, a Play Station VR, Bluetooth-enabled VR headsets and phones, along with iPad Pro tablets to engage the interests of four key age demographics: children, teens, adults, and seniors. This session will illuminate the ways in which public libraries can leverage virtual reality technologies to target multiple demographics with innovative outreach and programming opportunities.
