Increasing ones productivity does not necessarily require one to work harder or longer; often, it involves employing strategies that help one to work less while accomplishing more. In this facilitated workshop, attendees will reflect on and discuss the challenges and barriers that prevent them from maximizing their productivity in their day-to-day work. They will be encouraged to share tools and strategies that they have found effective and will have the opportunity to learn from others through discussion and brainstorming. Areas of focus will include practical strategies for managing email, to-do lists, paperwork, scheduling, and distractions; the importance of self-care and downtime to productivity; and how to advocate for organizational change. As this workshop will be participant-driven, attendees from all library sectors are encouraged to participate and share their perspectives.
