Getting started

First, head to the event website. (Available December 6)

How do I log into the platform? 
Click “Login” on the bottom right of the top banner (next to the Search Bar). Enter the email address you used to register and the Access Code provided to you by OLA.

How do I add sessions and meetings to My Schedule? 
Click the star that appears to the right of the title in the session list. Click “My Schedule” on the left navigation menu to view your schedule. But make sure you’re logged in first!

I added sessions to My Schedule, why is my name not showing on the session Attendee list?
Fix this by adjusting your privacy settings in your conference profile. Click on “My Profile” and click the “Save and Continue” button until you arrive at the “Networking” tab. Click the box next to the question: Share your favourites with other attendees? and click “Save and Finish.” Your name will now appear in all Attendee lists for sessions listed in My Schedule.

How do I access the sessions?
All sessions will be accessed by clicking a button on the session description page. All buttons will become available to attendees once the event starts. No emails will be sent with direct links to any sessions.

How do I access sessions saved in My Schedule?
Click the title link to bring up the detailed presentation page and click the button to access the session.

Are the sessions taking place live?
There will be a variety of live and pre-recorded sessions at the conference this year, but all sessions will be taking place at a scheduled time so that presenters can be present in the Q&A chat box and engage with attendees in real time. It is the best of both worlds!

I’m not available from February 1-5. Will the conference sessions be available to watch after the conference is over?
All registrants will have access to the conference for six months after the event ends – so this could be your very own personal professional development resource until August 2022!

What are the technical requirements needed to access the interactive platform? 
For the best experience with the OLA Virtual Super Conference, please use Google Chrome or Firefox and operate outside all remote desktop environments. Pop-ups must be enabled on your browser.

Will there be an EXPO?
Yes! There will be a virtual expo where you will be able to see demonstrations, pick up information, and catch up with your favourite vendor reps.

Does the conference have an app this year?
The conference does not have an app this year, but the conference is entirely online and the website is mobile-responsive.

How many sessions will be taking place at the conference this year?
This year’s conference includes over 100 sessions, plus spotlights, keynotes, exhibitors, social events, and more.

Will there be social events and networking opportunities taking place this year?
Yes, absolutely! Stay tuned for more details to come.

Will the Public Library Awards Gala still take place?
The Gala will be held on Thursday February 2nd at 6:30pm

How will you host the AGMs this year?
We will be hosting virtual AGMs, more information to come on this.

Will there be poster sessions this year?
We will be hosting poster sessions this year! More information to come on this.

What is the Career Centre going to do this year?
The Career Centre will still be open this year, offering Live Chat sessions as well as one-on-one opportunities for mentoring and feedback. To access the Career Centre please click on the tile from the homepage.

What if I miss a session?
All sessions will be made available on-demand after they have taken place. Find it in the schedule and click it to find the link in the session description.

Will other attendees be able to see my question in the Q&A?
Yes, the Q&A for all sessions is public. Submitted questions and answers will be visible to all participants.

When will presenters answer my questions?
We have asked presenters to make themselves available during their time slot to answer any submitted questions. Within each session you will see a Q&A button in the lower right corner.

You are also able to send speakers an email directly through the interactive platform.

In what time zone will the event be hosted?
All sessions will be listed in Eastern Standard Time.

Will the event be interactive?
Yes – there will be plenty of opportunity for interaction during the event. Sessions, the Expo Hall, and live / video chat sessions will encourage attendee participation and engagement. We know that our attendees always like to connect on social media using #OLASC as well, so you will be sure to see us there.

Will there be accommodations for attendees who require accessibility?
OLA is striving to ensure that all sessions will be captioned or transcribed. For additional accessibility needs, please contact superconference@accessola.com.

Does OLA have a Code of Conduct for this event?
Yes. OLA’s Code of Conduct can be found on our website.

Does OLA agree with everything that is presented at the conference?
Because the OLA Super Conference serves as an open forum, opinions expressed and/or materials distributed by conference participants do not necessarily reflect, or imply advocacy or endorsement by the OLA, its board, or members.

Getting Registered

When will registration open? 
Registration will open on December 10, 2021. You will be able to find the link for this on the homepage of this site.

How do I register for the OLA 2022 Virtual Super Conference? 

  • Click REGISTER on this page
  • Please be sure to LOGIN first if you are a member – this will allow you to access Member pricing
  • Choose the ticket type that corresponds to you (ie. Member/Non-Member/First Nations Library/Speaker/Student etc)
  • If your Institution purchased a site license for the conference please be sure to use the code provided to you

What is included in my OLA 2022 Virtual Super Conference registration? 
As a registered attendee you’ll be able to: 

  • Access over 200 education sessions
  • Create your own conference profile and schedule
  • Connect with presenters and other attendees
  • Make use of the OLA Career Centre programming
  • Participate in all conference virtual socials, live chats and the virtual Super EXPO
  • Access all content on demand for six months

There’s no need to reserve a specific date or time to view the sessions, you can learn at your own pace. Join the sessions during their scheduled time if you want to connect live with the speakers, but you will be able to ask them questions afterwards.

How long will I be able to access the conference content? 
All content available through the OLA Super Conference On Demand program will be accessible through August 31, 2022.

Why should I become an OLA member before I register? 
OLA members receive discounts for Super Conference, among other benefits.

Yes! Students are eligible for a registration rate of $50. If you are currently underemployed please feel free to register at the student rate.

Do I need to be a member of OLA to attend?
The OLA Super Conference is, as always, open to anyone to attend; however, one of the many benefits of being an OLA member is discounted registration to our events. Click here to learn more about becoming a member of OLA. 

Access Your OLA Account


Member Account

OLA has a new online membership and store front system. If you haven’t already, you will need to request a new password in order to enter the member system. Clicking “Forgot Password” will send a new password link to your email address.

When you log into the My Profile area of AccessOLA you will also be able to see your contact & membership information.

If you have a new email address, or you do not see your information after you log in, please email Membership. We will be able to link up your new account and the previous information.
