You are invited to OLA Super Conference 2023: Walking in Two Worlds / Marcher entre deux mondes

We can’t wait to see you February 1-4, 2023. In response to popular demand the 2023 OLA Super Conference will offer both an in-person and digital experience. The in person conference will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in downtown Toronto.

The 2023 conference will feature:

  • A Digital Experience stream: Offering access to virtual attendees (more details to come)
  • Super Expo: Welcoming back all of the library sector’s greatest vendors
  • Roundtable conversations focusing on the current issues in our libraries
  • Virtual Super Saturday: Giving all attendees access to a full day of online programming

The Super Conference Planning Team continues to build on this year’s fantastic event and promises an even bigger program with more opportunities to engage with your fellow library people and other experts beyond library land.

I’m happy to introduce this year’s conference theme Walking in Two Worlds / Marcher entre deux mondes. As we move through the past few years, we realize in so many ways we are Walking in Two Worlds. We are embracing our country’s Indigenous History and questioning the Truths we may have held as we begin the Reconciliation Process; We find ourselves in cross-roads of divergent realities in our personal lives and our workplaces; We are re-entering the hybrid world, away from virtual and distanced only; We work to balance justice with a just society; and We realize the importance of our library and information sector, but don’t know what our service demands will be or how our libraries will take shape as we continue to come through the pandemic. This walking in two worlds, knowing and not knowing, old and new, equity and diversity, truth and reconciliation is where we find ourselves as we embrace for our next steps together.

  • Exhibitor Prospectus opens on August 17
  • Attendee Registration opens on November 21
  • OLA Super Conference February 1-4, 2023 – Metro Toronto Convention Centre
