Francine is Geospatial Data Librarian and Liaison Librarian for Geography and Planning at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario situated on Traditional Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe Territories. She is engaged in research aimed at decolonizing information literacy approaches using Indigenous maps to introduce researchers to ways of knowing and worldviews. Primary sources originating from different Indigenous groups highlight the diversity of beliefs and navigation systems required across distinct landscapes. Francine is currently wrapping up her term as the OCUL Geo Community Moderator.
