George Hawtin is a professional librarian, a Certified Human Resources Professional, and lives with cerebral palsy. Having served as a library board chair and library director, he has experienced many of the challenges faced by both librarians with disabilities and by those hoping to hire librarians with disabilities. While working as a human resources librarian, he has educated many human resources professionals about workplace accommodations, crafting accessible hiring processes, overcoming biases, compliance with human rights law, and other relevant facets of human resources practice.
