Kate Wetmore is a Library Services Associate (LSA) at Markham Public Library. She obtained her honours bachelor degree in Child Development from Seneca College and is a registered member with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Kate is passionate about providing equitable access to high-quality, inquiry based STEAM education for families and children.

Over the past five years, Kate has worked in various roles, from Program Instructor to Summer Camp Coordinator. In these positions, she was provided the opportunity to facilitate valuable and integral STEAM programming that fostered children’s critical thinking, creativity and problem solving skills- all essential skills needed in our workforce of the future. Kate demonstrated that it doesn’t have to be hard to incorporate STEAM learning into library programs as it’s already all around us just waiting to be discovered!
