Kira Burt is a children’s programmer with Kitchener Public Library. In her role she plans and delivers programs for babies, teens and everything in between. Kira currently delivers the Story Sheroes program where she learns constantly from the program participants. Kira began working at the Kitchener Public Library in 2015. Kira has a long history of working with children and youth to empower them and their communities, from Uganda where she volunteered as a teacher to Mississauga where she worked as a respite worker. Kira holds a BA in History and Childhood Studies and an MA in history.
