As Toronto Public Library’s Manager of Youth Services, Lisa Heggum is dedicated to fostering relationships and working collaboratively to make a difference in the lives of Toronto youth. She began her career as a Young Adult Librarian in New York City more than 20 years ago, and has been a passionate public library youth services advocate ever since. Her career highlights include winning the inaugural OPLA Leadership in Youth Services Award; having her anthology, All Sleek and Skimming, selected as a New York Public Library Book for the Teen Age; and being featured as a “Rockin’ Librarian” in Shameless magazine.
